Orange Shop And What They Have To Offer
Aug 13th
What do Orange have on offer on their shop site as we head into the weekend, well I’ve just had a surf acrossto see they have a scrolling banner with four big calls to action.
First up is their advert for the iPhone 4, of course its the same picture as you see on every other advert for the iPhone 4 and to see the “This changes everything. Again.” slogan hardly sets them apart from any of the other networks. The Buy Now button lands you into a page offering you the oppertunity to but the phone or the sim. Why they couldnt have put this as seperate Buy Now buttons on the min banner is hard to say.
Next up is a banner for the Samsung Galaxy S, or as Orange call it “The smartest Samsung in town” The Find Out More button lands you into an overview page of the phone with a secondary option to view the phones specs. You can then click through to see the see the plans Orange have on offer for the phone.
Third up is their shout on cheap home braodband for their mobile phone users, for just £6.50 a month Orange say you can recieve up to 20MB. The Find Out More button drops you into a page that allows you to compare each of the broadband packages they have on offer.
Fourth but by no means last is the banner for Orange Wednesdays, click on this and you land on a page that not only tells you about Orange Wednesdays but also the other extras Orange have to give their customers. Magic Numbers, Dolphin, Monkey, Reserve tank and Phone Fund are all promoted.
The four banners all give the casual surfer an oppertunity to explore more and browse further into the Orange Shop site.
Everything Everywhere….everybody calm down !

The Orange / T-Mobile joint venture has already attracted the Vodafone Chief Guy Laurence to have a pop at the Everything Everywhere new brand name.
Ever the wit Mr Laurence pulled out some rather cunning word play to express his views. The JV being in his words “all over the place”.
But with plans afoot from Orange / T-Mobile to add another 100 retail outlets and incease share in the Wi-Fi hotspots then it will be the footfall on the high street to decide if they want Everything Everywhere.
How long will the two operate as different ventures though, I give it 18 months before we see the two morph into one.
